Qualification on Completion: The Coaching Room Professional Coach Accreditation
Integral+Leadership® Developmental Coaching – IPCP Level 2 puts all you have learned as a Licensed Coach into practice.
In this next phase of development, you’ll learn the Integral+Leadership® theory framework putting all you have learned into practice with ongoing mentoring and support. We also introduce Integral+Leadership® Quadrants to facilitate a broad awareness of the client’s current way of being, and investigate further the Awareness Quotient and Stages of Development models.
Integral+Leadership® Theory
Introducing the Integral+Leadership® Theory framework, you will learn about the additional lenses, that comprise a human being. You will learn to identify and leverage these lenses, based upon the client's AQ score and presenting challenges and opportunities.
The Integral+Leadership® framework includes the AQAL (All Quadrants, Lines, Levels, Typologies, Energies) lenses. The AQAL Integral+Leadership® framework comes from Philosopher Ken Wilber of The Integral+Leadership® Institute.
Learn and master the initial intake session, using the Integral+Leadership® Framework, you will learn how to help the client navigate the highest frames running their inner game.
As you have already learned, the presenting problem is never the problem, the intake session will teach you how to use all your newly acquired coaching skills to get straight to the heart of the self-belief structures running how the client thinks and filters reality. Bringing this to awareness of your client will help them start to take full responsibility for their construction of self and their reality.
Utilising Ken Wilber’s Translation Quadrants, the Coach learns to facilitate broad awareness of the Client’s Current Way of Being. The client becomes objective to what they have been subject to (their own beliefs. Values, identity, thinking structures and personality). The client begins to build the self-awareness required for developmental growth.
The Intake session is about making a strong connection, using the Integral+Leadership® framework to inquire with the client to identify the deeper issues, agree on outcomes and next steps, including the way you will work together.
This is achieved by using the Integral+Leadership® Quadrants to firstly Look AT the client (their abilities, aptitude, attitude, Intentions, awareness, available choices and responses), client in the context of their coaching topic, to discern what skill sets are needed based upon what is present and lacking.
Secondly, the Coach then uses the Integral+Leadership® Quadrants to Look AS the client (understanding how the client’s worldview drives the perceptions and colours their experience, from the inside out). which involves being able to look through their eyes, from their body-mind-emotional perspective, in order to get a sense of their unique way of seeing and relating to their topic. This process of Looking AS is a powerful practice of embodied perspective taking.
Being able to Look AT and Look AS the client, to see, understand, and appreciate
them in their topic from different perspectives and to help them broaden their seeing, is only the starting point in our approach.
Using Darren Stevens Awareness Quotient (AQ) as the main Developmental Model, we will use this lens to look at the overall Altitude of the clients Awareness using the Intention/Awareness/Choice/Response Model. We will ground the AQ theory in the field of Developmental Psychology and Integral+Leadership® Theory, looking at where the Stevens AQ model fits and why?
In trying to discern what AQ level or altitude a client is primarily living from and through, we are interested in discerning the view that most steadily and consistently guides the client as they move through their day, particularly in their given Coaching Topic.
Referencing the core skills learned throughout the program, you will learn to establish the relationship, set the foundation and identify the client’s Coaching topic (their wants). You will then learn to review and interpret your client’s Identity Compass® results (with your client), to identify their real needs, given what they want. This will then become the real coaching topic.
You will then practise this process, until perfected, receiving feedback and mentoring as you go.
