Life Changing

When I contemplated coaching, it was following a presentation to a mid-sized group at our annual sales conference.  The topic I was presenting on is my specialisation and my passion.  What should have been a walk in the park left me flushed red during my whole address, I had a dry mouth, lost focus of my purpose and most of all I was completely uncomfortable.

Engaging Sviatlana as a coach was a remarkable and unique experience.  Initially we established the goals for my four-month term with her, which were very focused on developing me to achieve greater outcomes at work, through managing relationships and communicating effectively with key people.

We worked each fortnight through the program, with alternating fortnightly phone calls also to reinforce the week’s module. For each module Sviatlana skilfully kept the focus on each of my objectives.  It was not easy and it was sometimes extremely challenging… understanding the reasons within myself for the beliefs I held, or finding the word to explain a feeling, and it was absolutely worth every moment. 

The days I left our sessions were like shedding 100 kilograms of weight.  It is an amazing freedom to just leave the shackles of old belief systems that no longer serve you and hold no resentment what so ever to them.  Sviatlana guided me to a place where I appreciated myself and accepted everything that had brought me to where I had arrived at.  Just saying those words now ignites my heart.

The benefits have been much farther reaching than I ever anticipated, because Sviatlana’s skill is profoundly deeper than just introducing you to a new tool.  I’ll leave it to her to explain the reasons why your life will change - all I can say is that it will and more than you can realise before you embark on this journey.

The results of the coaching have been remarkable.  My public speaking ability has transformed with Sviatlana guidance through that belief and many others, supporting me to replace them with much more resourceful and self-serving series states. Prior to Sviatlana’s coaching I had a very strained relationship with a colleague, who now sends me apologies when she doesn’t get the chance to return my emails in the same day. It wasn’t a trick, or manipulation, and it didn’t happen immediately either.  There are so many other examples I could provide, however there’s not enough time or space to go on.

I used to see highly effective people and think that it was their natural intelligence, privileged upbringing or unique training that brought them to the successful lives they were leading. Never did I think that I had the charisma, confidence, motivation and unwavering self-belief to achieve such greatness.  It’s actually hard to be back in that under-rated state of mind, when all I see and feel now is the beauty, excitement and possibilities of life. 

I never realised where this journey was capable of taking me and the resources I had access to. Sviatlana’s coaching is like nothing I have ever experienced in my life. 

Svaitlana helped me to navigate through the clutter in my mind, enabling me to develop a clearer understanding of my own purpose. I’ve been able to take the driver’s seat in my life, rather than feeling completely disempowered and blaming other people when things don’t work out. 

My life has been changed immeasurably.

Realising and discovering my own personal skill levels, knowledge and the positive belief system and framework for success is what the coaching room has brought to bear for me and to carry on for the rest of my life.

I was 37 years old when I decided on coaching because I wanted to start a new career path. I had managed staff, had been a business consultant for many years with telecommunications companies and other organisations and wanted something new. I had grown stale with jobs and my career life and perhaps a little ignorant thinking that I had learn’t everything I wanted to know.

Fortunately for me, coaching was a great choice and I have been able to re ignite the spark, the drive and motivation and to really succeed in business especially from a sales point of view.

During the time that I worked with my coach, I achieved much much more than I anticipated. The sales coaching allowed me to focus on what the customers needs are, to be highly successful and at the same time fulfilling my own goals and plans I had in place that eventuated exactly how I had set it out to be.

Back on Track

I approached The Coaching Room initially because I felt that my life was becoming 'stuck': I had a degree of self doubt about my own worth at the time and was wondering whether it was worthwhile pursuing a music career after many years of not achieving what I perceived to be success... I felt I had reached the point that perhaps it was time to give it all away and start 'getting serious' about life in general.

After only a couple of sessions, the coach helped me to realise that many of the irrational fears I had associated with reaching my goals were based on belief systems I had set in place during my youth, and were just that... irrational fears. Through a series of sessions with The Coaching Room, I learnt a great deal about my own belief systems and how to replace negative beliefs with positive, achievable goals and outcomes.

Fresh and energised

Life coaching through the coaching room was a thought-provoking, exciting, fun and interesting experience.

I had two sessions of an hour and a half with my coach, who I found to be warm, openminded and engaging. With her objective stance to my life, plenty of discussion, some exercises, a few tears and lots of laughs, I came away feeling fresh and energised. I hadn't discovered any new deep secrets or hang-ups about myself but instead had been given the tools to move on in life in a positive and creative manner to reach my full potential.

New Insights

I first came to see Jay Hedley of The Coaching Room to find a new direction in life as I was then recovering from the death of my father, the distress of my mother seeking to legally disown me as her daughter, and the debilitating fears that arose when undergoing surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy for breast cancer. I had gained weight, lost my hair and felt the need to try something that could help me live my second chance at life with some degree of respect and care for myself.

I had over the years attended many self-improvement courses and had spent considerable sums of money seeing a semantics counselor weekly for four years. Although not new to some of the concepts of NLP, I was taken aback by Jay’s perception and effectiveness in helping me find out what core beliefs were supporting my then highly dysfunctional lifestyle, which was characterised by my propensity towards extreme workaholism.

By changing even just one inappropriate or outdated core belief, a number of related behavioural issues or problems either melted away virtually effortlessly or I had an insight that allowed me to take a new direction without backsliding.

Jay’s skillful and compassionate application of NLP and Neuro-Semantics (NS) has helped me make phenomenal changes in my life in less than 6 months.

I am now much more fully able to create and enjoy new business and personal relationships that I was too fearful to start, feel a deeper and more real connection with my husband, and consider new entrepreneurial business strategies that involve creating and sustaining a harmonious team to help me achieve my vision. Further, I am now fitting my work around having a happy and fulfilling life rather than using my work as a substitute for life.

Also, I have never enjoyed such popularity. Making and maintaining friendships, and attracting new work opportunities, has never been this easy. Of great relief and joy, has been the unbelievable improvement in my relationship with my mother, which I thought was irrevocably broken.

By shifting some massive, seemingly firmly entrenched beliefs and applying information about meta-programs and creating rapport, I have been able to access an enormous sense of compassion and love towards my mother and have had the delight of seeing my new regard returned manifold in her own unique way.

Over our relatively short time together, I have been most impressed by Jay’s integrity, incisiveness and professionalism. He was able to build a trust-filled relationship easily and seemingly effortlessly and to then help me face some of my deepest fears with honesty and intelligence. The speed of the changes, after years of counseling and self-improvement, has been breathtaking – I now live my life with a new passion and deep sense of joy. Of course, problems still occur and I still make mistakes but I now have some powerful tools through NLP-NS to handle crises more efficiently and perhaps even use the downturns to my advantage.
